You can use different FTP accounts to manage your content if you have several sites in the exact same hosting account. You can give different people access only to certain directories, for instance – web designers or IT specialists from the company, and rest assured that they will not be able to connect to any other directories or anything else in the website hosting account, as the FTP accounts have limited access. In addition, you can set up and administer a number of different sites simultaneously using a web design app like FrontPage or Dreamweaver (since these apps use FTP to establish a connection to the server) and publish your website files both when you create them and when you update them. A key part of doing these tasks is the ability to set up and administer your FTP accounts quickly and seamlessly.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server configurations are administered through the simple-to-navigate, custom Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections, the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and anything associated with them, so you will be able to manage all the accounts quickly and seamlessly. It will take a single click to set up a brand-new FTP account, to delete an active one or simply to change its password. You can also view the full list of all your FTP accounts in this Control Panel section and, for your convenience, you can arrange them in alphabetical order – ascending or descending, either by their access path or by username. Modifying the path for a certain account is also rather easy – you will simply have to click on it and choose the new directory in the pop-up window that will show up, so you won’t need to set up a brand-new account in case you simply need to define what web files an existing account can access. You can also take advantage of auto-config files for famous FTP clients such as Core FTP and FileZilla.
